REPAIR GUIDE

Step by step

  1. 1
    Confirm the pump is dead
If the filter is clean and the impeller will not spin, or the pump is silent on a drain cycle, replace it.
  2. 2
    Disconnect power and water
Unplug the washer. Lay it on its back on a blanket so you can reach the pump from below or behind the front panel.
  3. 3
    Unclip the hoses
Photograph the hose positions. Use pliers on the clamps, expect leftover water, then unplug the electrical connector.
  4. 4
    Swap the pump
Remove the three screws holding the pump. Fit the new pump, reconnect hoses and the plug, then stand the machine up.
  5. 5
    Test a drain cycle
Run a short drain. Listen for a smooth hum and watch the water leave.
