REPAIR GUIDE

Step by step

  1. 1
    Turn off the supply
Close the valve behind the toilet and flush to empty most of the tank.
  2. 2
    Unhook the old flapper
Unclip it from the overflow tube and unhook the chain from the flush lever.
  3. 3
    Fit the new flapper
Clip the ears onto the overflow tube posts. Adjust the chain so there is a little slack โ€” about two links.
  4. 4
    Refill and watch
Open the supply. The water should stop at the fill line and stay there. Dye in the tank should not appear in the bowl.
