REPAIR GUIDE

Step by step

  1. 1
    Confirm the leak
If water weeps around the portafilter during a shot, the gasket is usually the cause.
  2. 2
    Hook the old gasket out
With the machine cool, use a spoon to pick the rubber ring out of the group head.
  3. 3
    Press the new one in
Wet the new gasket and press it evenly into the groove. The portafilter should lock with firm resistance, not a slam.
  4. 4
    Pull a blank shot
Run water with no coffee. The group should stay dry around the edges.
