Patch the drywall hole

Step by step

   Trim loose paper

   Cut away torn paper around the hole so the patch can sit flat.

   Fill the hole

   For holes under 5 cm, press spackle in with a putty knife, slightly proud of the wall.

   Let it dry, then sand

   Wait until it is fully pale. Sand flush with 120 grit. A second thin coat hides the edge.
4. 4
   Prime and paint

   Spot-prime the patch or the paint will flash. Then roll the wall color over it.
